This course is a Level 3 Diploma in Games, VR and VFX delivered across two years at North Somerset Creative Campus with links to Bristol's creative and digital hub, the Engine Shed. The course is worth 1.5 A levels, meaning you can take two boomsatsuma courses together to gain a qualification equivalent to 3 A levels, or combine just one of our courses with up to 2 other A level subjects at Nailsea School.

We have established an incredible 2 year programme that will provide you with all the creative skills and theory needed to design and build creative content for multi platform formats, including Video Games, Special Effects, Virtual Reality,  Apps and Websites. You will be immersed in digital production from the day you arrive.

Utilising industry standard hardware and software the Level 3 Diploma in Creative Digital Production will link you into our experienced team who will provide you with the bespoke training in the disciplines you are most interested in. We will show you the protocols and processes utilised throughout the  creative digital, games and interactive industry to ensure you are fluent with current workflow conventions and techniques.

Our tutors are embedded in the industry and work at the cutting edge of digital production. They will inspire your learning and fuel your creativity alongside guest lecturers from industry and master classes from technical staff and engineers from some of the most innovative and influential development studios on the planet.

With strong ties to companies and developers that are at the forefront of creative digital, games and interactive development, boomsatsuma will ensure you develop the expertise required to see your ideas from conception to completion.

Entry requirements

Learners will need to be 16 on the 1st September 2019. You will need English and Maths grades A* to C. Though experience of creative and media subjects are advantageous, we are more interested in energy and commitment, and welcome your application even if you have had little or no experience. Course costs

There are no course fees for UK students under the age of 19, but there is a studio enrichment fee of £125 per annum. Students will be eligible to apply for a discretionary bursary to cover this and to assist with travel costs.
