about me

Kam is a filmmaker and screenwriter who works with outreach community groups. She mentors, develops and facilitates participatory media projects, as well as teaching screenwriting and filmmaking at undergraduate level.

Kam helped set up and run Bristol’s independent film festival and also been a judge for various film festival panels such as Encounters and Depict. She co-founded and ran the Bristol branch of ‘The Hub’ - one of the UK’s first digital arts organisations that is supported by the Arts Council, HP labs, Aardman and Real World Studios. 

Kam's screenplays have been supported by South West Media Development Agency, Working Title 2, National Lottery and Carlton TV. She has been a participant of BFI NETWORK ‘Widening the Lens’ and the BFI Writer’s Lab scheme. More recently, Kam has completed a micro short for Smoking Bear Productions.

Passionate about a more diverse screen industry, Kam continues to work in collaboration with organisations such as Rising Arts and Cables & Cameras who aim to create meaningful change.
